What does it look like when we bring the Story of Foster Care gallery to your location?

  1. it all starts with a conversation! If you’re interested in hosting the gallery, reach out to our team via the contact page. From there we will send you details about the gallery and the amount of space required to host it (we’ve hosted the gallery in small and large spaces, so don’t hesitate to ask)!

  2. Next, a date and timeline for installation is set! Our team normally needs about 5 hours for set up and if we have a full day on site to prepare that is the best scenario

  3. We bring in our trailer to your location and a team of our volunteers sets up everything that’s needed: portable walls, art, our information table, etc.

  4. On the day of the display we like to share about our work of empowering vulnerable youth as they transition out of state care systems. We can do this as a brief pitch, an in-depth conversation panel, a teaching session, or a prayer walk through the gallery. We’ve done all of this before!

  5. While your community walks through the gallery we stay nearby to answer questions and offer support when needed

  6. After the event our volunteer team comes back and reloads the trailer, returning your space to its original set up!

The Story of Foster Care gallery has travelled across the United States educating on the foster care system from the perspectives of those with lived experience - the artists. Our team has taken this work and applied it directly to education sessions on ethical storytelling, the intersectionality of needs, the aging out process, and many other topics. We love having the opportunity to share this resource!

The gallery is currently designated to spend the year 2025 in Waco, TX at varying locations as we work to launch our transitional residential program, but we can make exceptions for specific opportunities (conferences, gallery settings, aging out partnerships, or longer term instillations).
